First Class Interview: Curren$y Talks Longevity In Hip Hop, Relationship With Harry Fraud & More

Never in a million years did I think I’d be chopping it up with one of my favorite rappers about music — but here we are! I had the pleasure of having a sit-down with Jet Life’s front man Curren$y upon the release of his tenth studio album The Out Runners with Harry Fraud. In the half hour chat, Spitta discussed his relationship with the Surf School producer and their chemistry in the studio as well as their history together.

Upon other topics, he talked Rick Ross and how he gets mad respect across Hip Hop solely due to the way he’s been moving as an independent act for majority of his career. Speaking of which, he shared with me that Rozay actually gives him free verses when he normally charges six figures per feature.

The New Orleans legend also spoke on he and Freddie Gibbs next project as he informed me to send the message to Kane to let him know “he’s ready whenever.”
